The central government’s decision came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with pharmaceutical companies and top doctors on Monday.

New Delhi: Amid worsening situation due to Coronavirus infection in the country, the central government has made a big announcement regarding the vaccination (Covid 19 Vaccination) on Monday. Under this, the government is going to start the third phase of corona vaccine vaccination in the country from May 1. In this, all the people above 18 years of age will be eligible to get Covid-19 vaccine. The central government’s decision came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with pharmaceutical companies and top doctors on Monday.

The government says that in the third phase of the world’s largest vaccination campaign, the eligibility for purchase and vaccination of vaccines is being relaxed. On behalf of the government, companies making Corona vaccine have been empowered to sell up to 50 percent of their supplies to the state governments and the open market at the previously announced price.

State governments have been empowered to take doses of additional vaccine from manufacturers. Apart from this, there is also an exemption to give vaccines to people above 18 years of age. The vaccine will be available in the open market from May 1, but protocol will have to be followed for taking the vaccine. Under which one has to be registered on the Co-Win platform.

The corona vaccine was first introduced to frontline workers, health workers, and people over 60 years of age. After this, people above the age of 45 years are being vaccinated. The government says that this system will continue in this way.

In a meeting with doctors and pharmaceutical companies, PM Modi has said that the Covid-19 epidemic is spreading fast in small cities as well. Efforts to upgrade resources at such places need to be intensified. He has asked doctors to make people aware of rumors on Covid-19.

Let us know that new cases of corona virus infection are coming in daily in record number for the last several days in India. With a record 2,73,810 new cases reported on a day of Covid-19 on Monday, the total cases of infection crossed 1.5 million. About 25 lakh new cases have come up within the last 15 days. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Monday morning, the number of under-treated patients in the country has also gone up to more than 19 lakhs.

There are a total of 1,50,61,919 cases of Covid-19 in the country. The death toll rose to 1,78,769 after 1,619 people died in a single day.

Citizens are requested to take all the precautions like wearing face mask , maintain social distancing and Co-operate with authorities.
